FREE SBDC Resources for Marketing and Cybersecurity

May 23, 2022

The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has several programs available for its clients, provided absolutely for free!

The first is FAME, the Financial Accelerator Marking Expediter. FAME can connect you with Financial and Marketing consultant partners for up to 5 hours at no cost to you.

Are you considering QuickBooks, or need to better understand how to use your existing account and reports? Perhaps you’d like to invoice your customers or pay your vendors directly from QuickBooks. Maybe you have tax law or accounting questions or are considering CFO Services. If so, there may be a financial consultant available to you for these areas and more!

Is choosing, setting up and effectively using the plethora of social media platforms keeping you up at night? Do you want to better understand your analytics, or need a SEO strategy or review? Do you want assistance developing a general marketing strategy? We’ve partnered with Marketing Consultants who can help you tackle these areas and beyond.

The second is Cybersecurity Reviews, where SBDC and the New Hampshire Tech Alliance

have partnered to provide free Cybersecurity Reviews to businesses with up to 500 employees.

All businesses have critical confidential information they need to protect relative to operations, intellectual property, strategic planning, customer, and employee records, and/or financial information. Unfortunately, many small businesses discount the importance of protecting this data, resulting in 43% of cyber-attacks being aimed at small businesses, with only 14% prepared to defend themselves, according to the Accenture’s Cost of Cybercrime Study.

The SBDC/NHTA Cybersecurity Reviews program offers small businesses individualized cybersecurity reviews, education, and a high-level cyber risk assessment with a cybersecurity expert. A business will meet with an expert to discuss their cybersecurity maturity and needs and receive a customized evaluation with actionable and achievable steps they can take to start protecting their business immediately.

NOTE: For both programs, you need to be a registered SBDC client. The good news is this is absolutely free.
