AerospaceFest 2017

April 6, 2017

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will hold their annual aerospace festival on Saturday, May 6, from 10:30am-4:00pm and they would like your help!

The purpose of the festival is to get young people excited about STEM, and draws families with elementary and middle school children, from throughout NH and Northern MA.  There will be activity stations throughout the Center where children and families can engage in science and engineering activities.  The Center would love to have participation by NHADEC members, who would offer an engaging activity for the children and families. This is a great opportunity to let NH and MA families know what your company does and to help develop your future workforce by inspiring and intriguing the next generation.

You will also get to meet the keynote speaker, Astronaut Rick Searfoss, Col., USN, ret., a space shuttle commander who has also worked in the commercial space systems sector and as a scientific adviser on several high-profile Hollywood movies.

In addition, 3 scholarships will be awarded to NH students for simulated astronaut training at the U.S. Space and Rocketry Center, and the Center will premiere their new planetarium show on aviation, Take Flight.
